Two Eggs, two pizzas

We're in the middle of having our floors replaced so no access to the oven or stove. Dust everywhere. Furniture piled up in the corners of rooms. Its a mess.
Last night we decided to have pizza. Because of the huge mess and people all over our house, couldn't use the mixer to make dough, couldn't make the sauce. So we "kinda" cheated and used store bought dough and Rao's pizza sauce. On the large went one pizza. Pepperoni for my half, cheese for Duke.

Mrs. G took over the Mini and made herself a cauliflower crust with some leftover fajita meat for a Mexican style pizza.

Not the best pizza I've ever done but a whole lot less work than doing everything from scratch.

They look fantastic. I never got good at cooking my own pizza. They weren't bad ... but they never looked like yours do. Granted, your pizza wench has better teeth than mine, but still, the British make decent pizza ...so I'm guessing that's not it.

That's some dedication to getting two pizzas done at the same time, firing up two eggs for two pizzas.

As someone who always cheats on the dough and sauce, is by scratch really that much better? I've considered buying the 00 dough at Kroger, but I don't have a mixer. I usually just go with the whop dough that Pillsbury makes. It's not so bad. If scratch dough is 10x better, maybe it's time to try it.

There are doughs that will cook up great at 350F. There are doughs that will cook up great at 450F. 00 likes hight heat, so you need to be playing at much higher temps to enjoy it. Disclaimer: other components matter i.e. fat, sugar, egg in the dough.
Whatever works for you, is really what matters in the end. Made from scratch, or not.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
We couldn’t live in our house for more than a week while our wood floors were being done. And for another week we couldn’t get to most of the house. I feel your pain.

How was the Rao’s. I see it when shopping. I like a couple of their sauces but never tried the pizza sauce. I know they are proud of it so curious how it was.Griffin said:We're in the middle of having our floors replaced so no access to the oven or stove. Dust everywhere. Just because someone is proud of something doesn't mean it's good for the masses. My daughter made the weirdest first poop on the toilet ever. It was like a babies arm. We were both so proud, (of course I checked her twin .. to see if he was missing an arm first, because that would mean my daughter might have digestive problems you know, and what if she ate a leg next .. that could definitely kill her) anyway, looking at that floating arm .. I knew right then and there it wouldn't sell at the market, even in a can.
