BGE and Gas Grill

I'm looking to add a gas grill for quicker cooks on weeknights that would complement my BGE. Any suggestions on a gas grill?
I'm also thinking about purchasing a table for my large BGE. Any suggestions on an affordable table would also be appreciated.

Hard to beat a Weber Genesis. However, have you considered a smaller Egg? Since purchasing a small Egg a couple of years ago I haven’t used my gas grill once.XL BGE, Large BGE, Small BGE, Weber Summit NGMemphis

Hard to beat speed of a gasser. I have a Blaze grill mounted in my outdoor patio countertop. Perfect for burgers. Chicken breasts and such

I am thinking of adding a Mini Max. My Weber Genesis is 14 years old. One thing I dislike about Webers are those bleeping flavorizer bars, they should be called Inferno Starters ....LG BGE, Weber Genesis gas, Weber 22" Kettle, Weber Smokey Joe

I have a Weber gas grill and probably use more than most here do (or at least will admit). Time and flavor are the variables for me. A skewer of marinated shrimp is going to taste 99% the same. If you do get a gas grill, get one that gets hot.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Fwiw, my older gas grill wore out after I had an egg and I still replaced it. I also still use my microwave and the oven in my kitchen too.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

i found my weber on the side of the road about 20 years ago, its about time to find another one. its spring, there will be plenty of options...... seems to be national shovel tossing month, if it aint broke, why toss it. im on the same shovel for 20 years too and better than i would have bought

Another vote for Weber Genesis. I'm like @legume - I use it more than the egg - it is 700+ degrees and ready to use within 5 minutes of turning the knobs.
Whatever gas grill you get I would absolutely make sure to get one with a side burner. That is something that is really nice to have.LBGE

A weber genesis is a great supporting grill alongside a BGE.
last spring I picked up a used 2016 weber genesis E330 and it is great for quick fast cooks. I use it as a summer "oven" when I don't want smoke on my food. The side burner starts coal in a chimney and I'll also use it to cook fish in CI or to wok veggies up and not mess up the kitchen.
In the past three months I've used the side burner to start coal more than I've cooked on it, but when I want something quick like salmon burgers or hamburgers and I don't have time to light coal, I can literally light the grill, cook a burger and be eating in 15 minutes.
Here's a pic of mine. I out-boarded the propane tank to get more storage inside and mounted a second tank hanger on the left for a spare tank.
I store the CI BGE grate, a BGE Pizza Stone, my PS woo extension + grate and some smoke tubes inside.

I recommend a flattop. I use my flattop probably as often as @Legume uses his gasser. Also a side burner is a great addition. A standalone plug in induction eye is something else to consider.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Thanks all. I have a natural gas pipeline on my deck and see that Weber has a natural gas model. Is there an easy way to buy the propane grill and convert it to use natural gas?

read this if you want to convert one.

If you are buying new, just buy a NG version. Weber won't support gas conversion and the say it voids the warranty if you convert.Mustache_Vol said:Thanks all. To do it properly, you should to replace the manifold with the valves. Some of the newer models have different burners listed for NG and LP though they look the same to me.
Some convert by just replacing orifices, however I think grills starting with LP and converted to NG has issues on low temps being too low and the flame going out.
If you pickup a used one, you can often find NG manifolds for sale.

Yeah, I have. I might end up revisiting that option, but I think I’d like something that could handle summer cookouts with larger groups of people.4TheGrillOfIt said:Hard to beat a Weber Genesis. I have the Napoleon Prestige Pro 665 gas grill. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! It has real-estate for big cooks (5 burner), sear station, and what I really like is the smoker box ... it has a removable cylinder sleeve where the gas dials are ... load up pellets or wood chips and slide it in without having to open the lid. You can replenish the wood chips as frequently as you want without having to disturb the cook.Mustache_Vol said:I'm looking to add a gas grill for quicker cooks on weeknights that would complement my BGE. I've made some good meals on that ... even for long cooks like prime rib, and ribs.Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ! -

I don’t use it all that often, use the egg much more, but it’s nice to have for convenience and things that don’t benefit much from the egg.Ozzie_Isaac said:I recommend a flattop. Well then I take my words all back. You cannot have them.Legume said:

I use my Griddle and Power Burner combined more than my eggs. Quick breakfast and lunches. That is also partly blamed on my current infatuation with Wok cooking.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

It’s funny, people are freaked out about the fires here, for good reason, but it’s led to some overreaction. My house sits on a park, so when I fire up the egg people in the park get a little squirrely and see it coming from my backyard. On NextDoor people have been calling for a ban on stores selling firewood to tourists. Not much camping locally and no reason to believe tourists are having dangerous or illegal fires with the 4 split bundle of pine they bought at Sprouts. I wish Elon had bought NextDoor. Maybe Ron or Scottie will. Or you @Ozzie_IsaacTHANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

I toss on a couple dozen ears of corn on the Weber for bigger crowds. Then on good the burgers and dogs for the kids as the main meal finishes up on the egg. Separate burner for steaming the seafoodMustache_Vol said:

Napoleon prestige series or prestige pro. The one mark posted is best if that’s in your price range. I have a 20 year old prestige and it still works and looks perfect. Beautiful Canadian made q’s

I have 5 bottles of vintage Missouri propane I’ve held on to for 10 years now.HighHeat said:If you wanna gasser, get off this site -
Didn't realize so many on here also had Weber gassers. I also have a Genesis and am glad I do. Probably a step below the Napoleons I have looked at, but I have no complaints. Having said that, I still crave a Blackstone and would strongly consider going that route if my Weber ever goes south because I don't have space for all three.Stillwater, MN

I want one fullsize griddle, with a back splash, side splash and a grease channel. I saw one once but the person didn't know where it came from. Genesis x000s and Silver Bs share the same size cooking grates, so this would be a cheap and easy wanna be flat top.epcotisbest said:
