I have a piece of a pool noodle to glue, I hope, over this head banger (for me at least).
I don't think screwing it in that it would last in that type of material.
So I'm thinking of maybe trying to glue it on that pesky corner.
What does the brain trust here think?

I'd hate to glue anything on that nice deck. That would probably take a bunch of silicone and removing it down the road might not be all that fun.
Could you use a black pool noodle with elastic cord to hold it in place on both ends with rope loops? That's way you will only be left with small screw holes if you were ever to remove it. Silicone could get ugly. Just my thought anyway.
