2 legs of lamb in big green egg

Anybody ever cook two legs of lamb in a large Egg? We have 13 people coming, so two should feed us all, but would they fit?

Sorry I haven't . . . what do you plan on seasoning them with?

Boneless or bone-in? And where are you buying the meat from?

Shouldn’t have a problem with 2 boneless legs, from the usual grocery store or Costco type of places.

May be tight if bone-in. It’ll depend on the size. You may be able to saw off some of the shank end to make them fit, and save those bits for stock, etc.

Never have done two at once but given the taper take advantage of it and reverse the line-up around half way thru the cook.  FWIW-
If boneless you my need to get out the string.

  • We got boneless and I misspoke with the butcher so I wound up with three (!) lamb shoulders, one twice as big as the others (6 vs 3). But it all worked out. No problem.
