Gyros and homemade pita

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while and decided to give it a go today. Followed a Joshua Wiseman recipe and used the Jotisserie. Really pleased with the results. Did the pita on pizza stone in oven since Egg was occupied (it worked but prefer the Egg).

I'm Greek and I grew up in Chicago, which is really the birthplace of Gyros as I known it. You have done a good thing here.

Yep that’s the one. All of his recipes that I’ve done so far have been good.

Good lord. The meat looks amazing…some crunchy bits, some soft squishy bits.

Pita has been on my list for a while, too. Thus may have inspired me.
