Burnt ends from the flat...

Morning All:
We had three of the grandsons over last night for a sleepover & they prefer "finger food" so Kathy wanted burnt ends...didn't really need a full brisket & finding just the point around here doesn't happen, so I picked up a 6.6 pound flat at Restaurant Depot...covered it with my brisket rub mixture (DP Raising the Steaks, DP Game-on, Kosher Salt & Turbinado sugar)...on the Egg indirect at about 225...

I let it get into the 160s before wrapping, then took it to about 200 before removing to cut into cubes...added some VooDoo Dirt rub along with my BBQ sauce & back onto the Egg indirect though temp now about 350...

About half of them have been served already...

My plate with some roasted mini-red potatoes & cheese slices...

Everyone was very stuffed after the meal!

For whatever reason, Kroger here sells brisket points on the regular. Every other store has briskets or flats.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Interesting. I live in Kroger's backyard and I've never seen points, only flats. The only way I can reliably get a point is to buy a whole packer, usually at Costco.caliking said:

I said to my wife, 'Where do you want to go for our anniversary?' She said, 'I want to go somewhere I've never been before.' I said, 'Try the kitchen.'
