secure in what sense

Extra brackets for what? The table is very secure. If you go with the cabinet it is waterproof. I went with the table with shelves and have a stainless top, wood second shelf and wire third shelf. I would not get wood as a top shelf. My large is in a modular nest connected to the table and my XL is in a modular nest next to it.
