I got my fix of lump charcoal for now...I really like the Cowboy brand as you can see. I like to buy it when I find it since it's not always available. Anyone know of any comparable brand to Cowboy? Have a great week everyone!

I just need to try different brands to see which works best in my LBGE. Late in the season last year it was impossible to find any charcoal at all in my area (Greater Toronto Area) - I just didn't want to get caught again this year. I will work my way through the pile I have and buy different brands as they become available.

If you like the cowboy lump, stick with it. Don’t try other brands. You’ll end up falling in love with something else that costs twice as much. Kinda like, “what you don’t know won’t hurt you”.

i worked my way down from pallets of wicked good comp blend, maple leaf, and ozark oak.......

Nothing beats the best lump that came in a box! It was the best. They called it center cut for a reason. Everything else compared to this is/was crap.
