    Mark, because of the return policy, you might want to check out a propane capable generator at Costco.  They have gas/propane inverter in the 3kva range that you want.  It will be much more fuel efficient than a non-inverter.  Probably looking at around $900.

    Picked up a new (to me) Lesco spreader as my first FB Marketplace purchase.  It's overkill for our 1 acre yard, but sure beats the flimsy ones I've used in the past.  

    As you can tell from the snow on the tires, it'll be a while before I get to use it here in Indiana...

    @alaskanassasin - how's it worked out for you?

    This one needs hosed off, but is mechanically sound...not that there's a ton to these things.  

    I paid $200, which isn't a screaming deal by any means, but I was satisfied based on condition/required drive time

    Yeah, I was excited to see it was included and hadn't been removed or broken off.  We've got a couple hundred feet of street/driveway footage, as well as mulch beds around the house and that's a BIG plus.

    @frazzdaddy That's exactly what I'm hoping for.  

    Even using it 5-10 times a year, I got sick of having to constantly fidget with the plastic $#it on the Scott's spreader I had and hoping it puts down an even pattern.  Thought about buying the 50 pound Lesco spreader new, but for a little less, figured I'd have better luck reselling the 80 pound unit I got if the time comes.

    Glad I jumped on this deal before they sold out.


    The 175watt high bay lights were (maybe mispriced) at $38.99.  I ordered 8 of them which should give me more and more even light at the shop. 

    I'll put the switches by the entry door so I don't have to stumble through the dark to get to the old switches.  The old lights (mostly 400 watt Sodium HID) will stay as backup/auxiliary.

    Do you recommend them for hiking socks?  I had a half-dozen pair of Thorlo's, purchased in 1992, that only wore out about ten years ago; I bought some more, but they shredded in a couple years, quality had really taken a nose-dive (if not the price).

    I really do.  I wore them exclusively last summer
    when we went through SW Colorado, Arches, Canyonlands, the Tetons, and Yellowstone and I had no issues with my feet at all.  I’m working on converting my athletic and work socks over.

    One good thing about the darn toughs, if they wear out, you can send them back to be repaired.  Plus, still made in VT.

    So it probably hadn't come out on Kindle yet...

    I had sold a few old books maybe 20-some years ago.  One guy in Canada bought one...first time I shipped there, learned that I should have marked it as a "gift" on the customs label.  I think it was authored by Lord Byron, printed well after his death, late 1800s.  Leather binding, but it had a tear on the seam.  Beautiful art work on the insides of the cover.

    With those wide white ceilings I think I'd be bouncing most of my light off of that with some spot lighting just where needed.

    SWMBO ordered this...she prefers hard cheeses, especially aged.

    I prefer soft cheeses.  Had a blue the other day ranked first in world 2019.


    Insane.  But I'm happy with a good blue or a stinky cheese.  I'll ask for the strongest.
