Sad, sad day for the country and sports.  Class across the board and a true ambassador for the game.  
RIP-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    Yep.  In my opinion he is the greatest baseball player of all time - and maybe a better person than athlete.  He was my hero growing up.  Much of my thinking about race relations was formulated as I watched him chase Ruth's record while enduring endless abuse just because of his skin color.  He handled it all with class and dignity.  
    Hammering Hank! Yes he was class and just kept slugging home runs.
