This has always bothered me. Boar’s Head is the biggest offender. There are more nitrites in celery and beets than in bacon. That is what they use in all of these “no nitrites added” meats. Whole foods is full of these products. It is shady AFKeepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

About time. All the ignorant "health conscious" soccer moms are going to be up-in-arms wondering why all their favorite "nitrite-free" bacon and lunch meats suddenly have nitrites "added". We'll see how the marketing snakes spin this one.

I have been preaching about this for years.“Uncured bacon” is still cured, if it has “natural” nitrites from celery powder.
