OT - better RV A/c

I was researching lithium batteries for the murder van and this popped up on YouTube. Looks pretty smart for people that like making their stuff run better. https://youtu.be/2ryWU-yZ-X4

    CFM x 1.08 x Delta T = sensible Capacity
    CFM x 4.5 x Delta H = Total capacity
Total - Sensible = Latent Capacity

Decrease static, increase airflow increase capacity

    Should work

@nolaegghead maybe turn a old box fan on its side and set your lap top on it. Haha

The solar and battery guys usually run mini splits if power consumption is an issue.

Right...mini-splits are very efficient for small units.

I run two in my house now, a third multi split with three heads is in the works now.  Central AC will go bye bye this summer.

My only rub with ductless mini's ( and we install a ot) is they are in the bic lighter category, when they break, you are looking at a replacement ... they are also obsoleting models as quick as they make them

Very true. I debated this as it adds cost. I decided since I am buying gree and midea (final unit is LG) units and doing this install myself, the massive savings almost makes them disposable. I only have three years of use so it’s not a long track record, but so far so good.

I have one mini-split at each of my shops and one in the bedroom (backup to central).  So far, so good.  @lkapigian are parts sold if something like a compressor or board goes out?  Generally speaking.

I did the installs myself for 2 of the units.  They're pretty easy to install, but then again, I have pretty good pro-level gear.

@nolaegghead- Deal breakers are compressors , though their reliability is solid .,..Circuit boards are commonly obsolete , but a guy like you can make it work ...Indoor coil leaks are common and if the unit is more than a few years old you usually cannot get just the coil, you have to buy the whole set up-  pre planned obsolescence

We just pulled a 3 zone system out Friday that had a failed compressor , 8 years old but was installed wrong from day 1
