OT: Good Day For 15 Bean Soup

Unseasonable cold spell and few inches of snow overnight, decided soup was called for.
Hurst Hambeens packaged beans, traditional recipe, with Italian sausage.    The last time I posted this cook @YukonRon commented about adding brown sugar, so this time I used 1/2 cup and will do so in the future.  Thanks Ron.

Man, that almost makes me wish it was colder over here. That's a very inviting bowl of goodness.

I've got a half-bag of 15-bean soup in the cupboard (no, I didn't sort them into 8- and 7-bean soups); living alone I can't cook up the full amount without throwing some of it out before its gone.
Would've been good for lunch today, I woke up to 19º and supposedly 70-mph winds (I don't think the wind got anywhere near that high).  A ham-hock is a great substitute for the sausage (an even better addition).
