OT: Good Day For 15 Bean Soup

Unseasonable cold spell and few inches of snow overnight, decided soup was called for.
Hurst Hambeens packaged beans, traditional recipe, with Italian sausage. The last time I posted this cook @YukonRon commented about adding brown sugar, so this time I used 1/2 cup and will do so in the future. Thanks Ron.

That’s some good comfort food.Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Looks like there are more than 15 in that pot.
Soup looks delicious.Las Vegas, NV -
Man, that almost makes me wish it was colder over here. That's a very inviting bowl of goodness.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.

I've got a half-bag of 15-bean soup in the cupboard (no, I didn't sort them into 8- and 7-bean soups); living alone I can't cook up the full amount without throwing some of it out before its gone.
Would've been good for lunch today, I woke up to 19º and supposedly 70-mph winds (I don't think the wind got anywhere near that high). A ham-hock is a great substitute for the sausage (an even better addition).“All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.”
