@bubbajack, the "good" news is that I don't think you can buy a XXL. You'd have to buy a 2XL.bubbajack said:I do not need to buy a XXL.....I do not need to buy a XXL....Damn it!
Or does that not help?XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

I know where a new one is at a dealer, one of the first 1000. On sale for @2500 + tax. Complete with everything, nest, shelves and plate setter. I can not justify it will my other eggs. Just me and the wife most times.
Your cooks look great and I am sure they tasted even better. Congrats on the big egg.I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.

@HighHeat, I have a friend who is downsizing and doesn't need an XXL any more. He wanted to give it to someone he thought would fully appreciated it and put it to good use.
It's hard to do that with COVID limitations because it can hold enough food for dozens of people, but I am having him, his wife, and another couple over for dinner this weekend.XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle

Recently saw someone cut butternut that way, now you did a zucchini. I'm going to have to try that method. I usually do spears for zucchini, but always lose some to the coals.

Now we know the source of the Rockwood shortage.

I've made rrp's burgundy mushrooms a couple times and boy are they tasty. I could make a meal out of them alone.

@WildmanWilson, you're not wrong. I'm mostly just playing around with it right now. I'll probably buy a charcoal basket of some sort to be able to make smaller fires.
@RyanStl, I actually prefer the spears. My buddy/dinner guest sliced them that way. I think they're very easy to overcook with that slice.
@GATraveller, so far all I've used is B&B and an offbrand that I found at HEB for $9.99 for 25 pounds. I can't decide if I should go with cheap charcoal because of the volume needed - or with the good stuff because it seems absurd to skimp on the quality of charcoal when you're cooking on a grill this expensive...XXL BGE, Karebecue, Klose BYC, Chargiller Akorn Kamado, Weber Smokey Mountain, Grand Turbo gasser, Weber Smoky Joe, and the wheelbarrow that my grandfather used to cook steaks from his cattle
