I catered a BBQ dinner for a Georgia Tech homecoming party.  Thie number of guests called for 5 butts so I squeezed 5 bone in butts into my LBGE and I thought that was good.  You beat me by one!  Well done sir!  No trouble getting your dome closed over the second grate?

I think you might have broke a State record for most lbs meat stuffed into a LBGE.

Lemme check if the receipt says how much that was. Definitely the most pork I’ve done in one

The cast iron dual grate I have was made by some guy who’s out of business now. He had some serious quality control issues I love mine. Use it almost every cook.

They’re completely adjustable. So I have the top grate set low and kinda touching the lower four butts, which are all also touching. Sometimes they touch the dome. I had to remove the dome thermometer.

The most helpful part of this cook is my flame boss 500. Hands DOWN a game changer for peace of mind. I set this up and worked a restaurant shift, came back and spatulaed the butts so I could maximize bark, and didn’t open again until they were finished the next day. Thanks @stlcharcoal For the FB500 sale. I used rockwood charcoal AND wood chunks for this (and every) cook.

That is one of the most impressive cooks I've seen on this site as far as the amount of meat and quality in one cook. Job well done, D!
