Happy 4th!

It was a good day. LittleBattleBorn wanted to help with dinner. She is a trooper. Special thanks to @YukonRon for posting the Peach Pulled Pork. Made it for the first time and the lady boss said that is the way that it will be made from now on.
Finished off with some corn on the cob, homemade mac and cheese, deviled eggs and homemade BBQ sauce.

The little one also made some banana cream pie and a chocolate pie.
Happy 4th to everyone!

Very awesome! It brings me joy to see kids taking an interest in cooking.

May have to get the recipe for banana cream pie from your daughter. Caliprince just told me that’s what he want to surprise caliqueen with for her birthday.

I don't know if I can give up the secret family recipe. But, I will take the chance.

This one is a premade Graham crackers crust, Jello instant banana cream pudding, Nilla wafers and bananas. Make the pudding and add some Cool Whip. Layer the bananas, wafers and pudding in the crust. Refrigerate and let it set. Easy, trailer park recipe. Wouldn't have it any other way.

You gotta love a kid that cooks and wears nerdy Area 51 t-shirts. She’s a keeper.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Funny thing about that, my older two kids drove my mother in law to Rachel ("town" closest to Groom Lake) yesterday and they stopped by the Alien Research Center at the beginning of the Extraterrestrial Highway. My MIL bought us all alien shirts. The little one loves stuff like that and was happy as can be.
