I miss BadInfluence here on the forum. He was one cool and adventurous guy. I hope his egg finds a new home."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan

Very nice of you to help out.
My only fear would be buying a replacement part as this is still considered a used egg. How much is a replacement base?Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Since we met in person, once in Peoria, and the other up at Pete’s Egg fest right before badinfluence died I know the man and his family existed! May he Rest In Peace! While I would love to buy that egg I really have no need...sorry...
But - since you are a reputable dealer can/will you/Atlanta provide a lifetime warranty?I’d think anyone who wants an early XXL would be nuts not to expect that.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time -
Very nice of you to offer this up. I was able to meet him before he passed as I bought my small from him. Dude loved BGE. Hope you are able to sell this and help his family out.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

That’s a sweet price. I just saw one of them sell (Great Bend KS) dealer on a radio auction for $1700 with factory warranty, so your client priced it reasonably if it carries a warranty.

Damn, wish i was in the market

I have a MM from BadInfluence. Genuinely nice guy. Hope this Egg finds a good home. If I was still in the Midwest this would be hard to pass up.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@Jeepster47 and you were nice enough to pick up a mini that BadInfluence sold me at the same time. I assume it's the same mini in the photo above, but it's hard to say with as many eggs as he had. Reuniting my mini with that XL would be real feelgood story.Ozzie_Isaac said:I have a MM from BadInfluence. Genuinely nice guy. Hope this Egg finds a good home. That would be a story full of feels. He definitely went in to things head first. The eggs and inflatables were awesome. Wish he would have been around to finish what he started with his BBQ food truck. That was the beginnings of a fun new chapter for him.Tbent said:

I have considered driving to IA to pick this up. I wanted the XXL when I bought my 2XL, but none were to be found anywhere near me. This is only a 38 hour round trip, its not that bad, its just one freeway the whole way there ...

I’m not sure you can put “only” in front of “38 hour round trip.” 😀. But if you go for it post picscookingdude555 said:I haconsidered driving to IA to pik this up. What is the difference with the 2xl and the XXL?XL BGE and Kamado Joe Jr.

I haven't checked with my wife, but I'm pretty sure if I leave to go get the XXL, she would recommend just making it only a 19 hour trip.Dondgc said:

Lol, its true. We have driven across the country 4-5 times, and each time has been taking the Nebraska route. I will give them this, they mow the grass in between the center divider and on the sides of the highway. Its pretty impressive stuff.dbCooper said:If you take that route remember, "Nebraska, it's not for everyone".
They have the same bands, dome, and cooking grid diameter. The base on the 2XL is shorter, and the fire box and fire ring follow that trend, too. Here is my 2XL after hoofing it into my backyard:speed51133 said:What is the difference with the 2xl and the XXL?
The 2XL has all the cooking capabilities of the XXL: same 29" diameter grid, and massive amount of fuel storage. I just think it would be cool to have the original. They only made 1000 of them, but they were $4k when new. The shorter base has no (in my opinion) impact on the fuel this thing can hold:
It would be cool to have @badinfluence's XXL too. He was one of the other few dudes on the forum crazy enough to have several eggs like I have. -

No doubt it was degreed folks that were paid good money to develop that tourism slogan. Hard to believe I know, but it happened.nolaegghead said:
