Gasket question

Replaced the one on my small egg with the BGE replacement gasket and haven’t used the egg since then. I was waiting on some replacement nuts and bolts for the new hinge. When I lifted the top, the bottom gasket came off in about an 8” area. We’ve had a tremendous amount of rain here in NC, so I don’t know if all that moisture had something to do with it coming loose. Question is will my first cook seal the gasket back or should I glue it? If so what works best?
Thanks!

In my opinion I would re-glue it. The glue you get from an autoparts store for head gaskets is my recommendation. Then when that felt gasket burns out you can use the same glue on your fiberglass replacement! I got mine from RPR here on the forum and its been on for years surviving temps of 1200 without issue.-------------------------------------------------------------------------Keywords: Gator, Nashvegas, LBGE, Looftlighter, Thermapen in Racing Green (faster than the red one!), PSWOO2, Spider with CI, IQ120

I believe his name is @RRP aka Ron Pratt, Dunlap, IL Make sure you order the top gasket too. Do them both at the same time.
