Which freezer to buy

My 20 yr old 20 cubic ft garage freezer may be on its last legs.  I want to buy a new one but need advice on brands and quality.  Thanks for any info.

    Seems the “new” units are made with a best before date of about 10 years, plan on buying your third within the next decade. I have at least a 20 year old GE upright commercial unit - no defrost, so once a year it gets emptied and hit with the hose and leaf blower to peel the ice out of it. I like GE, my daughter bought a Haier (made in China but loved by Consumer’s) a couple of years ago. She really likes it. Costco I think is where she got it.

    Good luck getting one any time soon. I’m in the same boat. My 30 year old freezer died during the pandemic. “Blood” dripping out of it .  Meanwhile the rest of the world has discovered freezers for the first time. I ordered one from Lowe’s on sale 9 days ago. Expected delivery date was one week. They changed it to July 7 based on manufacturers supply. I ordered a GE. Cancelled my order and went with a local appliance store . Supposedly I get it next week. We will see. If you need it soon I would watch out for large suppliers right now . What really gets under my skin is that freezer is STILL on sale at Lowe’s with a red “low stock , hurry!”  warning and a one week delivery date. At least Best Buy is honest about it and has “sold out “ next to every single one...
