just read patio post from @Smolder (beautiful work!) and starting to think I need to do something to preserve my outdoor TEAK TABLE . . its naked now . . any product you suggest?

    Finishes don't "stick" to teak so you have to use oils.

    Teak is one of the most rot resistant woods known to man. It will likely outlast you! It will turn gray, but that's about it. 

    "Teak has been considered by many to be the gold standard for decay resistance, and its heartwood is rated as very durable. Teak is also resistant to termites, though it is only moderately resistant to marine borers and powder post beetles."

    If left exposed to sunlight teak will eventually turn gray no matter what finish you apply.
    So you either need to accept that reality or get a cover for the table and use it whenever the table is not in actual use.

    Ok thanks everyone.  Neighboor said to put on a "spar varnish" used on marine wood boats, but couldnt find much online to confirm this.  Decided to do nothing, and now I am re-visiting.  Thanks.

    lichen builds up on mine after several years. oxyclean water and a light scotchbrite pad. just a quick wipedown

    We use boiled linseed oil on the few teak pieces we have outside. Do it probably once a year. Looks nice when done.

    I would say polamirzed tung oil....
    I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.
