I use a timer on literally every cook. And in the winter when it gets dark at 5:00pm I use the flashlight feature while cookong as well.  This is always on my wrist, and is definitely one of the most appreciated bbq accessories that I use.

I dont even own an ash tool and I have two eggs. I have an old fire poker from one of those useless fireplace kits. If my Bernzomatic torch quit. I would buy another tomorrow.

Agree on the torch. Also great for searing, when needed (e.g., sous vide).

I can't support this.  The koozy is optional.  It's the beer that is the top accessory.

Well, if you’re going to get into disposables...I would probably agree.  Foil pans are great.  Lump and wood chunks are important, but I can always get takeout ‘cue if I have cold beer.

I found a set of cheap tongs like these somewhere...Sams Club or Costco I think.  One large pair 12” and one smaller 7”.  I believe they set me back about $4.00 total.  That was five years ago. I use them every day.  Love em!

My cheapest and often used accessory is a 2 foot piece of 1/2 inch rebar.  Great for poking the lump on long cooks, and general tomfoolery. I had one that I ground the burrs off and spray painted, but it's been missing in the garage for years.

@attaboy: Welcome. Good sizing combo there. Spend enough time on here and you will find many other “investments” being discussed that just might make their way onto your cooker.

Thank you. I’m not on social media at all. And I’m a young man at 37....😉. Looking forward being more involved here!

I decided the other day that an underrated accessory is sheet pans. I use them all the time for Mise en place, moving hot pans, actual cooking, - all sorts of duties.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Pig tail flipper.  We grill a lot of steaks, chicken breasts, and pork chops.  The pig tail flipper is awesome for those cooks.

This grid lifter might be my most used and indispensable tool.

I've accumulated a lot of sheet pans, and I agree.  Corollary to sheet pans is baking racks.  Key for dry brines so air will circulate.
