OT: Watch Eric Clapton and Roger Waters Honor Ginger Baker With ‘Sunshine of Your Love’

"Ron Wood, Steve Winwood, Nile Rodgers and Paul Carrack paid tribute to late drummer"

Can't Find My Way Home holds a special place for me.  Lost mom to dementia in July 2018, she was over for mothers day that year and we were out on the patio when that song came on.  I'm singing the chorus when mom pipes up and says "David, if you can't find your way home just call me and I'll come get you".  She had not driven in years and could not not find much of anything at that stage, but I always had a way home!  One of my best memories of her.

    Good story from yourself.

"Those of a certain ages may enjoy this..." Yeah, gettin' old. Most don't know of him.

The Cream played my home town in '68. I was a "good boy" didn't go 'cause I had a test the next day. My classmates who did go came in with their minds a crater. Later, met a guy who got back stage and took pictures. He had one blown up, where the 3 of them are staring somehow at each other. Ginger was in the center.

As another guy said of the concert, "you could see the pyramid of fire that had each as a base point."

Thank you for posting this. These songs are amongst my faves, and I have compiled several versions of live performances.

Those days of misspent youth do not bring back bad memories, in fact, they bring back the reasons I enjoy music today as much as I do.

    These guys represent my favorites.

Great story and a beautiful personal touch regarding your mother.

    Thanks again for sharing this.
