Easy at the End of The Week

It’s kind of been one of those weeks, ya know? I wanted simple yet tasty.
So we made chicken kebons, stir fried shishito peppers, and rice. Easy peasy. The shishitos were good.

Oh, fun hack - put the bluetooth speaker in the mouth of the wood oven to enhance the base. It works...

Now the cook.

Thanks for looking. I hope y’have a good weekend.
Coleman, Texas

That may be simple in Coleman but not for me.  Too many parts to manage... Way to nail the cook as always.  Congrats.

We grow them in the summer. I bought these at the supermarket. They are not always available so you just have to watch for them.

I wish I had a wood oven for the hack!

Do you make your own sauce/marinade?  I have a few recipes, but looking for more ideas.

Dinner looks perfect.  Off to Central Market to see if they have shishito peppers!

  • Kind of like a yakitori thing with the chicken.  That looks like a great meal to me.   Very nice!

@smbishop I’m slowly getting to a point I just make things up as I go. For the chicken I added soy sauce and oyster sauce plus minced garlic and ginger.
For the shishito stir fry I did the same thing except I seasoned the oil with the garlic and ginger - then added the soy and oyster sauce as seasoning right at the end.
