Hey guys, just ordered LavaLock's new mesh gasket kit for "pre-2017 KJs and Green Eggs".

Wondering if anyone else has tried it yet? Install tips?
I know many folks are Rutland fans here and I'm it's a great gasket, I'm just looking at another option.

would probably go with the red adhesive, the rutland cement is hit or miss and the expiration dates on it are written in codes, atleast thats how it used to be.
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Those come preinstalled on the KJIII I really like it so far.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

@haroldopsf recently installed the KJ gasket on the egg. I'm not sure how similar this is to the Lavalock model.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Looks like the LL kit is the same gasket with just enough to go one side (top or bottom). I'll let you know once I receive it.

Ouch on $45 price tag. My Rutland was $10 plus $4 for Permatex.

New gasket kit came in today and I'm excited to get it installed. Kit comes with everything needed to install (Including the recommended RTV they recommend).
Now we just need a warm dry day here in SE Georgia so I can get it installed.
