I know I am nowhere close to having seen it all, but still I did not think I would ever see this. A fused XL custom chiminea? Maybe made by someone close to the Mexico factory who had access to ceramic making technology? That's pretty wild.

I'd email and ask the story behind it. That's really cool.

Can't say I will get in some bidding war to buy it. While Chris has posted a good possible answer I really wonder something different due to that no so perfect wide band appearingly bonding some base and dome together. Photoshop or some other method could have been used...don't you think?Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

The filler between the lid and base looks kind of home made, cool idea if you have parts laying aroundSouth of Columbus, Ohio.

I agree the joint seam looks like a troweled mastic that was painted to match egg. But the opening looks like it was cut and then fired in a kiln!

I bet they used that refractory cement to bridge the two together

Would be a cool pizza oven if a guy laid in some extra stones on the bottom to raise the floor even with the opening. Not sure if that floor has enough room to build a fire and get a pizza in there though.Pratt, KS

It’s listed as a BGE Chiminea. I am sure this someone’s handy work. I think it would make a Great Fire Pit.XL, Large, 2 Small's and Mini BGE Arlington Texas

Just my $.02 but you could probably get a much more functional fire pit for less money. I don't think it would throw out much heat because the heat would rise up in the dome.
Another guess as to the origin: someone had a warranty claim on a dome and base and then used the old parts to make this chim-franken-nea.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -

My opinion is that if I wanted to drop a couple hundo to stare at a hole I’d go to a strip club!
