Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

Congrats on the article. A pillar of the community for sure and acknowledged right there. You do much more than captured in the story but I'm sure you will get more press time down-stream.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

Thanks everyone. this is what I actually sent them.1) When did you first get interested in cooking?I always liked hanging out in the kitchen when I was growing up and in college I was the first one to start manning the grill. But I didn't really get excited about cooking until I bought a Big Green Egg.
2) What fueled that interest? The internet forum www.eggheadforum.com. I have spent countless hours on that site picking up recipes, making friends and learning cooking principles that carry way further than a grill.
3) What are your favorite dishes to cook? My first love is BBQ. Hands down. Probably favorite overall are beef ribs. I also make a recipe I got from www.itsmyrub.com that is called a pineapple gem that people really go crazy for.
4) Have you had any failures? I once heard someone say that the only way to learn how to cook good bbq is by cooking a lot of bad bbq first!! I've definitely cooked my fair share of bad food but hopefully, I have most of the bad stuff out of my system now. I like to research, so when I do something new I like to look in to the whys and hows which helps lessen the learning curve for me. I find that really understanding the why helps with the perfection process.
5) Cooking is very different from your work life. Is it relaxing for you? I'm not sure about relaxing but it's definitely a fun change of pace. I love being able to get my hands in it and seeing someone's face light up when they take a bite.6) Do you mostly cook for family, or do friends sometimes get to taste? I do large cooks for charity, and I cook for my family and friends often. We even have a managers meeting for Allen Hyundai once a month over breakfast at my house.XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum -
