Tequila lime chicken

Thought I would post up a quick cook.
Lots of fresh lime, a bit of the hottest jalapeño peppers I ever had, cilantro, orange juice, garlic, salt, pepper and a splash of both tequila and oil.  Made the marinade and let the thighs soak for 7-8 hours.

Wife will not eat thighs, so she got tenders.  Went on a 400F egg raised direct with some pecan smoke.

Done:

Plated with some of our locally grown orange kabocha squash and some green beans from our CSA. Starborough Sauvignon blanc was the accompanying wine (the beer kept me hydrated while cooking)

Hope you had a great weekend!

Excellent looking vittles.  Chicken thighs are juicy and delicious.  Why doesn't your wife like them?

Great looking meal!   Do I see leftover chicken going in a taco or wrap in the near future?

Nahh. They were busy chasing moths, spiders  and frogs.  I saw one eat a lanternfly, so that was a bonus.

She said she does not like dark meat @smokingal   She will not touch any dark meat.  This is why I usually cook while birds. She likes the white meant and I like the dark.  Win/win.

Thank you.  I am thinking a wrap... maybe. I may just eat them plain again. We will see.

Splendid cook. I keep meaning meaning to try tequila in a marinade as I don't quite know what it would taste like in a sauce/marinade. I'm well acquainted with it in its usual form =)
