For anybody's trying to keep track of the hurricane a little better you got to check this out. There's also an app with lots of cool settings. @JohnInCarolina @nolaegghead @Hotch

This is what I use now since Intellicast was phased out. Intellicast was my go to weather app for years, I was bummed when they moved to the Storm app and then Wunderground on the PC version. Windy is cool!

I also use the dark sky app. I pay $3 a year for the notification features. It's pretty accurate.2-XLs ,MM,blackstone,Ooni koda 16,R&V works 8.5 gallon fryer, express smoker and 40" smoking cajun

I just got a txt from my son telling me it's supposed to rain here tomorrow. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known unless I walked outside and got wet. I NEVER look at the weather forecast.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I NEVER look at the weather forecast.@Carolina Q perhaps you should consider the purchase and easily visible placement of a weather rock. Definitely 100% accurate in real-time and no drama.Clearly you are not into eye-balls on the screen and all that comes with the fervor the weather-guessers put into supporting the bread and milk markets.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I suppose if I lived somewhere that had major, potentially life threatening, weather issues, I'd pay more attention. I don't have hurricanes, earthquakes, mudslides, floods, tornadoes or tsunamis. Occasionally it gets cold here (0°-ish). Sometimes we get a couple of feet of snow. That's about it.lousubcap said:Carolina Q said:I just got a txt from my son telling me it's supposed to rain here tomorrow. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known unless I walked outside and got wet. Sweet app indeed! The technical app that I use (since this thread is tailored toward serious weather nerds) is Radar scope. I think it might cost to buy, and you need to buy a $10/yr subscription to unlock additional features... but well worth it IMO (especially when we have to deal with serious, severe weather every spring).DFW - 1 LGBE & Happy to Adopt More...

Cool to see what's brewing around the world. Not so cool to see what's headed for Florida.
I just want to know when the temp is <50F so I can put a jacket on before leaving for work, and when it's <35F so I can run the pool pump overnight. I can tell when it's >95F by the way the parking lot at work feels ,then I go "fvck!! It's HOT!"
Those are pretty much the 3 temperatures on my personal thermometer.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
