Help, can anyone give ma a proven way to seasona dn cook beef filets around 2 1/2 in thick on the egg today. Much apreciated..[p]Merry Christmas to all!!!

    I do filets twice a month on my egg. I stay true to this simple seasoning method: [p]quater pound of melted butter per filet
    Marinate in Dale's Sauce for 2 hours
    Lightly cover the filets with Big Green Egg Butt Rub and sea salt[p]Don't cook at top temps unless u like the NY or Pitt style steak. I get it down to 500* and put on for 5 mins on both sides and then shut the grill down until the meat is done.... Be careful now, U will never order a steak in a resturant again!
