    Good looking brats!

I'm in the middle of texting my friend looking at gas grills. He was asking if Weber is worth the extra money. (He's talking to the wrong guy. I've never owned a gas grill) I told him that the warranty with Weber could be worth the extra coin. He was going to go with a two burner. I found a 3 burner Weber on Craigslist that they still sell today at all big box stores for $450. The guy is asking $200. It comes with a custom fit GrillGrates that were an additional $130 plus another $150 in accessories.

My friends response, "What are GrillGrates and are they worth it?" Ha!

That's what I was thinking. It's probably 1.5 hour round trip to pick it up. He wasn't sure if he wanted to drive that far to pick it up. He's the type of guy that will buy a new two burner for twice the price because it's 15 minutes away. You can only help someone so much...

Now he dropped it to $175. I just text my friend that the $25 will cover his tank of gas in his Subaru to go and pick it up.

So they were worth the price? I am thinking about getting some after using them on my dads hasty bake.

My experience using my Brother-In-Law's is burnt grill marks with every little color formation between the grate ridges. Reversing them works ok but I still prefer a Lodge Pizza Pan or Baking Steel if I want a griddle surface sitting on top of my grill.

I bought a griddle for my BGE and forgot about it. Food still tastes great though.

Similar issues till I lowered my cooking temp. Love them with burgers and chicken pieces.
