I have pork tenderloin marinating in the fridge right now. It should cook quickly, I might not even have to use lump as hot as it has been getting.
-
I'm going to freeze some water and make ice cubes.

Silly me, I'm cooking pizzas for lunch. And, it is already hot!

Well just to break up the sauna it’s pouring down rain. So we will have a steam bath instead. Maybe before dark I can get the tenderloin on.

Nothing wrong with having some chili on a hot day, although it is quite mild for this time of year here in So Cal. In general the heat has never swayed my cooks. We grill in 110+ temps while at the river, just eat it in the comfort of a/c usually.

Oppressive heat? Hell, this is just July in Texas and a pretty mild one so far at that. Haven't even hit 100 yet. I do agree with lighter proteins in the summer. Chicken and shrimp and seafood appear more at our house rather than steaks and heavy proteins.

I laughed when I went to fire up the egg Saturday and noticed this.

XLBGE, LBGE, Charbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q200, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -

102º here in north utard today, kinda unusual for around here.
As I mentioned above, sushi is a great dish for this weather, lunch today. I can't afford a $20 lunch often, but dayam it was good today.
