this will be my last post for a little while, because life is getting challenging with all that is going on. A few days ago @mEGG_My_Day sent me a pm telling me not to give up hope and also about some of the struggles he and his wife had gone through.
He asked if it would be ok to send Chef Norah Grace a care package to help lift her spirits. I certainly didn’t mind, I figured Norah Grace would love it. Inside the fedex box that just arrived was a wonderful assortment of Memphis rubs and sauces. Norah was so excited she can hardly wait to try them. Also in the box was a letter addressed to my little chef that had me balling like a small child as we read it together.
He and his wife connected with their words to what our hart are felling. She has been overwhelmed by this whole situation, and at just 10yrs of age finds herself being a caregiver at times. To know that Rick and his wife, wanted to lift her spirits warms a fathers heart. The fact that the keep us in their thoughts and prayers makes me so thankful for this community of people.
All I can say is that our family has been put through the ringer and we’ve received such support and kindness from many of you. There are to many to name, and some have asked to stay anonymous, which I respect. Please know the kindness that you have provided has helped us all along this difficult road. It has kept me from tossing in the towel and calling it a quits. There have been a number of times when I just wanted to sleep and never wake up again, but I can’t because of have my girls to look after.
I can not thank you enough for what you done, I will never be able to repay the kindness I’ve received from you, but know it has helped tremendously.
Happy cooking my EggHead friends and family,
Ryan

Yesterday I checked the mail and there was the nicest, sweetest handwritten thank you letter from Chef Norah Grace. Most of my adult friends don't bother to send handwritten thank you letters, so it is most impressive to receive this letter along with a few gifts and a wonderful piece of artwork. My friends and I all have at least one of those overpriced Yeti cups. It is a trend around here to decorate them with stickers of your favorite sports team or other stickers so you can identify your cup from others at cookouts etc. I have held out with the only non-decorated Yeti cup in my social circle. Well, when I opened Chef Norah's note, I new it had to be ...
Also included was this wonderful picture of an egg (now residing on my magnet bulletin board)... And finally some Spicy Dizzy Dust. I have used Dizzy Pig rubs for years but have yet to try this flavor. I think I may use it on some wings this weekend. Thank you Chef Norah. Stay strong @ryantt - you have a wonderful family.

@mEGG_My_Day I showed this to little Chef and she was so happy that you enjoyed her note and picture. She’s a great kid! She also says you’ve got the second best yeti she’s seen
