The title pretty much sums it up. I need a hot box/transport box. Non-electric, typical 5-6 pan capacity.

The Gator stuff is ok, but heavier to handle and not as durable @ hinges and latches etc. if you aren’t catering or serious comp guy I don’t know if you would notice the difference. Cambro if I’m buying one.

Cambro for me all the way , no experience with the others ...Started and stayed with CambroVisalia, Ca @lkapigian

In the food industry, Cambro is the quality standard. You can’t go wrong, and will last forever outside of heave commercial....and then is durable as hell.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

These won't be used but maybe 6-8 times a year. My concern was hinge and seal quality on the others vs the Cambro.~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

The good thing about Cambro is all of their hardware is easily obtainable. The 6\8 times a year may not justify the cost. Not sure what you are going to use it to hold /transport.....but there is a cheaper alternative with stackable Coleman coolers / warmer units. I use them for tailgating frequently. I link an example.ColtsFan said:These won't be used but maybe 6-8 times a year. My concern was hinge and seal quality on the others vs the Cambro.

these tend to work well for taking hot food to family functions, tailgates etc. they will not hold temp for as long as Cambro. They fit larger casseroles but not foodservice whole, half and third pans. Just a inexpensive option if that is attractive to you.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Thanks @northGAcock! I'll think this over. Mainly going to be used at Egg events where I need to pull something and stash it for a bit (maybe 2 hours max) will also be used when hosting at the house and holidays~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

If concerned about seal and hinge. Go with Cambro. The others are not as durable.

We have an older version of this. Holds two half pans or one full. Great for hauling sides to get togethers. If I needed the 5-6 pan capacity I’d go Cambro all day. https://www.carlislefsp.com/catering-equipment/cateraide-insulated-top-loaders/PC160N01Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

If you getting into Cambro territory (cost wise), what not just purchase / use a Yeti?Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Ease of loading is the main reason. It never fails that what I'll end up needing is what's on the bottom of the coolernorthGAcock said:If you getting into Cambro territory (cost wise), what not just purchase / use a Yeti?~ John - Formerly known as ColtsFan - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger
