Tires for my 4Runner. Went in to fix a flat and realized I have significant cracking in the sidewall. Dodged a bullet here. Could have easily been a blow out on a couple of my tires. Apparently I’ve been driving on these for 65,000 miles and still have about 40% tread left so didn’t think anything of it. Check that stuff folks.

Thanks for the reminder. Fairly new tires on both cars here, but always good to check - don’t want anyone to be in a dangerous situation

I have one that i have enjoyed for about the last 10 years. Love mine. Nothing like harvesting rain.

I killed one of those making sausages (burned out the motor in <1 year). Brought a pro 600W to it's knees after making about 50 or so batches of bread. I upgraded to one of the commercial mixers and that seems to be holding up. Since it has a two year warranty (opposed to the others only having a one year) I should be 'OK'...
Point is, don't expect great things from that level of mixer (tilt head).

The Woodford is from a single barrel purchase a local liquor store did. The other is the bastard child of the master distillers from Jim Beam and Suntory (Japanese whisky). Can't wait to crack these open.

Took @YEMTrey recommendation and bought a new Ping G400 MAX driver today. Love my new Ping irons, so I plan to make everything in my bag Ping (except for my Scotty Cameron putter).

Good to see that you have some restraint with that being in the front seat of your GM truck.

Maybe not clear in the picture, but it's the fixed head version rather than the tilt head.

Which irons? I really like the look of the g410s

I’ve been seriously considering buying A Komodo Kamado

@g37 - considering doesn't count. He!! I've been considering a Ferrari. Did you pull the trigger?? Good for you if you did.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -
But today I did buy a brisket point from Porter Road linked here:
I do have it on company authority that I will get a point as I asked to wait on the order fulfillment until one is available. Time will tell -

Thread Police! You posted this on the What are you buying right now thread. You have 24 hours to give that trigger a nice gentle squeeze.

I’m super close to doing it but it’s hard to part with that much money.

I'm messing with you. Good luck with your decision. That is a ton of money. You have to spend money to make money . . . wait . . . that probably can't be used here. . .

I’ve done a lot of research on the Komodo Kamado and haven’t heard anything bad about them. I’m curious has anyone heard anything about them besides the price?
Ewa Beach, Hawaii -
The main concern for me would be the tiles falling off over time. When the grout cracks and water gets in, those tiles don’t stand a chance.

I totally forget the forum member that bought a Komodo Kamado. I would love to get his opinion it’s been a few years since he’s owned it. I wonder how it’s holding up.

KK has their own forum but you can also go over to the https://www.kamadoguru.com/ forum. There are a few guys there that have KK's and they love them and I don't recall anyone having any problems with them. If memory serves, KK's do ship with a tile repair kit just in case a tile or two does pop off but from what I've read over the last five years or so I haven't heard of anyone having a tile pop off.

I hit the G410 irons at the demo day, but my buddy that owns the pro shop made me a great deal on a set of G400’s. And I couldn’t tell any difference in the feel or distance. Both are solid and feel a lot softer than the previous Ping irons.

Says Artisan on the box... Which is the lower tier model IIRC. Unless you got the "professional" mixer in the other model/line box. Even if you do have the 'professional' model, don't expect it to hold up to making bread all that often.
If I have issues with the commercial model I have now, once the warranty is up, I'll be looking to get a small Hobart mixer (counter top model) since those are gear driven with just three speeds.

what exactly happens when you dont put the euro version in. bastards changed the spec on the mobile full syn this year so its not rover approved. i dont think they changed the oil, just the mss spec

You live on a beach in Hawai'i; won't the sunshine blind people off that disco ball? 😀

Not all European cars use that spec. I would follow the manufacturer's spec, if they raise it, you should also. Since that Euro spec exceeds what my Dodge RAM needs, I use the same oil so I can stock one type of oil for all our vehicles.

what im seeing this morning is that they spec a certain catsrol oil 5w20 synth thats only sold to rover and jag dealers. theres a dye in it that shows up on ultra violet so you may void the warranty if you try and change it yourself. seems illegal to me. need to get one of those vacuum pumps now.

....a damn iPhone charger for the wife's car. Apparently she lost hers and takes mine out of my car this morning. She complains that she sat in traffic for and hour and a half yesterday and could not call or use WAYS to find an alternate way home. Took me every bit of 20 seconds to order her one (for delivery tomorrow I might add) from Amazon. Where in the vows does it say that stealing from the spouses car is legal?
