Need some suggestions on protein for daughter’s birthday
My daughter turns five in a few weeks, at which time we will host a gathering for about 10 people. Traditionally, I have cooked large pieces of meat, such as brisket or pulled pork, and have let them rest a few hours before slicing and serving when meal time rolls around.
When we asked our daughter what she wanted to eat for her birthday this year, all she said was “macaroni,” which presumably meant the mac and cheese that we often make for her.
Looking for suggestions on a neat cook that I can have more or less ready prior to the guests’ arrival, so as to minimize the time spent fussing while they are here, and that can work with mac and cheese. Can be any meat.
Suggestions and recipes most welcome... and thanks!

You are in kuck...because mac n cheese goes with anything!
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
The APL pork loin recipe is a winner. Would pair well with mac and cheese I think.

for a kids birthday....meatloaf or/and ribs with macaroni
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
I might consider doing a pepper stout beef for adults and sloppy joe for kids. Both can be made ahead, served on hamburger buns with Mac and cheese on the side.

Some great ideas, guys. Thanks.
I put on my thinking cap and wondered whether I could deep fry mac and cheese “buns” to make burgers. When I Googled it to see if it had been done, it had. My wife thinks this is not realistic because it would require too much last minute work - deep frying the “buns” and cooking up the burgers. Deep fryer and the kidlets also makes for a bad combo.
Damn... I thought I was on to something there.

I guess you’re kuck with it now.
