Chrusties and Pies

Fired up the XL tonight and cooked a few pies and some Chrusties. Buffalo chicken/mushroom/bacon and pepperoni/bacon. Loving the spring weather.

Well they’re a food I discovered years ago at Radford University there was a restaurant that made them. The ultimate late night....not quite in your right mind.....food.

Pizza dough rolled out and brushed with melted butter, garlic powder, sliced provolone, and whatever toppings you like, then rolled up like a Stromboli and sliced and cooked.

These were bbq chicken and bacon. I made some Reuben ones last time that were legit! Then you need to dip in some runny ranch, to make it perfect.

They’re fantastic, and easy to make a bunch of them with creative fillings. I made Reuben ones with homemade pastrami and Swiss inside and topped with sauerkraut before cooking.

I'm trying my first "chrusties" batch right now.

I didn't read all of the recipe, but when I got to the cutting part I just threw the whole thing in the freezer where it is now. I'll pull it out in the next hour or so and cut it up.
