You may want to check Benton or Hot Springs... There are Harps in both those cities and that would certainly shorten your trip!!Photo Egg said:

How many bags do you need to bring back from Arkansas to Houston to break even on the gas, pork rinds and Red Bull?THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Years ago there was an IGA grocery store in Mexico, MO that carried OO. I made 3 or 4 round trips before the closure of the plant in Yellsville.milesvdustin said:Anyone in IL or near southern il wanna go in on some? Seriously contemplating going to get some of this. Man Oh Man! Only USA charcoal that I gave a rats ass about. It performs really well at higher elevation. And the delicate smell it gives off. Would love to try the re-bagged new stuff. But no Harp around here. The skiing is outstanding in Colorado right now. If anyone is driving out to SW Colorado for a ski trip and had room to carry 10-12 bags I would be willing to chip in for a couple tanks of gas if you are coming to the 4corners area. Its the only way that I know that I could get some. Anyone interested? Let me know.

I had some meetings canceled this morning, so I decided to drive to the closest Harp’s in Jonesboro (about 70 miles)

Sure enough, Ozark Oak 20lb bags for $11.98. I have no way of comparing it to the old stuff, but at that price, it is worth a try.
Edit. The 10 lb bags were $6.48 fyiMemphis, TN

Swing through Galveston and I will give you a bag of the original stuff to compare.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

It’s 7hrs 20 minutes each way. A long day trip. I figure I could get 100 bags on my truck and a trailer. That’s roughly $1300 in savings. I figure about $150-175 in gas. Hmmmmmmm.

With my luck each store I would hit on that trip would only have 1 or 2 bags left in stock so total haul for the trip might be <10bags.DoubleEgger said:It’s 7hrs 20 minutes each way. A long day trip. I live in Conway AR, Harp's is just across town. May be worth going to see about this (always used either the BGE lump or Royal Oak).

So you have only used Royal Oak then...bwor said:I live in Conway AR, Harp's is just across town. May be worth going to see about this (always used either the BGE lump or Royal Oak).Rockwall, Tx LBGE, Minimax, 22" Blackstone, Pizza Party Bollore. Cast Iron Hoarder.

Found a harps only 2.5 hrs away in paragould. Wonder how many bags they have. I wouldn't want to do the drive for less than 15 or 20 bags

Pretty much, yes, since they are owned by the same people.TEXASBGE2018 said:

That's why I switched to Royal Oak. Less expensive not in the green bag. -
Would harps in Missouri have this?

I had mentioned earlier that I had purchased OO a few years back in Mexico, MO. The trick that worked for me at the IGA might work for you at Harps...that was to prepay my order using a credit card rather than making a 500 mile trip for naught!milesvdustin said:Found a harps only 2.5 hrs away in paragould. Oo is better and probably cheaper. On another note, the harps in benton always carries tri-tips in the cryovac.bwor said:I live in Conway AR, Harp's is just across town. May be worth going to see about this (always used either the BGE lump or Royal Oak).Little Rock, AR
