Beef stroganoff

i spent the day smoking a chuck roast and a pork butt. I cooked the roast at 300 until it hit about 208 and was nice and tender. Shredded it up and made the best beef stroganoff I’ve ever had (no offense mom). Made some scratch biscuits to go with it. Oh yeah, shredded the pork and vacuum sealed it for the freezer. Not a bad way to spend a Friday.

I'm in Fredericksburg, VA, and I have an XL and a medium.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Definitely gonna steal the stroganoff idea. I’ve always used sirloin.

Me too, and I’ve never been able to get it tender the way I want. This was so rich and smoky. It was perfect.Mdames501 said:Definitely gonna steal the stroganoff idea. I’ve always used sirloin.I'm in Fredericksburg, VA, and I have an XL and a medium. -

I am a SUPER fan of beef stroganoff and over the years have narrowed many recipes down to our most favorite one. I start with raw beef cubes coated in flour and then fried. But - I have never started with beef which has already been cooked...care to share your recipe?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Sorry, I just saw this. My struggle has always been getting good tender beef. Problem solved. The chuck roast was perfect.RRP said:I am a SUPER fan of beef stroganoff and over the years have narrowed many recipes down to our most favorite one.
