I found some beef brisket for $3.99/Lb. Is that a good price? I don't think I've seen it that cheap but haven't look for it in a long time. They also had 1 1/2" thick New York Strip for $4.99 /lb.

Costco here in Lancaster, PA, has Prime Packer Briskets for $3.29/lb - this is a little higher than it was a month ago.Large BGE

Usually 2.99/lb for prime whole packers around us.
If we buy one on a whim from H-E-B, it has ranged from 1.99-4.99, depending on if the deckle is removed, amount of trimming, etc.Llano, TX - Med and XL BGE’s -
Prime packers at Costco here in CA $3.29 last time I looked a couple of weeks ago. $4.99 for NY's is a good buy, but it all depends on grade.LBGE - I like the hot stuff. The big dry San Joaquin Valley, Clovis, CA

It said Prime for both.

That's at least a good price on both in my opinion. Depending on where you're located that might be a great price on the brisket. The northern eggheads should confirm.

$3.29 for Costco Prime packers in Michigan. Of course after trimming, probably closer to that $4 mark. $4.99 for Prime NY Strips is a great deal!LBGE, PSWOO, 36" Blackstone, MasterBuilt smoke box- Playing with fire in Three Rivers, MI

Big fan of NY strips, but I'll opt for something else if the marbling is mediocre. At $5 a pound, I would find a use for it.Stillwater, MN

Costco pricing seems to vary, maybe based on supply, but the prime packer brisket I cooked today was $2.99/lb a couple of weeks ago.
