Thanks. Was also able to spot the 8QT on sale, but for the price difference, I thought the 6QT was likely sufficient. Hope I made the right choice!!

While you're on Amazon do you self a favour and order some spare sealing gaskets. They can take on the flavour of a strong cook and pass it to the next cook.

Great idea, label one sweet the other savory. I keep ‘em in large zip lock bags. The sweet ones for things like grains, rice, steel cut oats etc... the savory for just about everything else.

We love our instapot. My wife uses it all the time to make stock or soups. Occasionally we will make shredded beef or pulled chicken in it for sandwiches. Oh and by the way best way to make hard boiled eggs.
