New Years Eve cook - a clean caveman rump steak with great wine

I've tried dirty steaks in the past, I liked the sear but didn't care for some of the ash on the steak. Using the CGS spider in the MMX, along with a CI grate for a mini Egg, I reverse seared a 1.2kg rump steak for our New Year's Eve cook, doing the sear very close to the coals. It was bloody marvelous, and a perfect end to one heck of a tumultuous year. The steak was washed down with 2001 Sociando Mallet and 2001 Staglin Cabernet Sauvignon (the latter being the better wine by a mile). That's a great meal. I recently had a glass of a more recent vintage of Sociando Mallet which was phenomenal. So, I guess I have to get me some Staglin Cab.
