CGS just informed me they no longer carry the ring. Can you help me out by linking a thread that has a solution or any advice? Haven’t found anything through my initial search.

No clue what a CGS oval foil ring might be or what it's used for.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas

Just use a 9 x 13 grocery store foil pan or make a pan out of foil. I make my own in 10 seconds for pennies more often than not. I have a stack of foil pans from Sam’s as well for when I cook something big like a brisket or butt.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Why not go to Wal-Mart and get yourself a cheap aluminum pan and cover it in foil? Keep the pan and toss the foil when your done cooking for easy clean up .

I use so much aluminum foil I should really invest in Alcoa.

I came from the restaurant world where we used the crap out of foil and plastic wrap. It would take 10 times longer if we had the dinky consumer rolls. What is used in the professional kitchen often translates well to the home kitchen. Obviously commercial stuff takes up more space, which is my main problem.______________________________________________I love lamp..

So it's not normal to turn the linen closet into an overflow for gear storage? Not everyone hides stock pots in the guest room closet? Hahaha .

Our breakfast room is basically a giant pantry/equipment storage room. This hobby (in my case it is cooking in general, smoking is a small part of it) can take over your space fast.______________________________________________I love lamp..

yes, we discontinued the oval foil ring.....some folks could get it to work, some could not, not to mention is was a pure bee'ach to fabricate.

When I had my large with the oval rig, that ring was a favorite gadget of mine. Nowadays I use the round drip pan covered with foil for the XL rig. Also an awesome gadget!Flint, Michigan

Ring is nice as it matches the oval stones when doing ribs or brisket. I'm patiently waiting for a stainless pan that have the same dimensions. I don't like the tall sides the foil pans have.York County, PA

Photo Egg said:For brisket or a couple butts, you need the taller sides. You can also cut the sides down on the foil pans with utility sheets.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Linen closet... talk to me when you've re purposed entire rooms.
My dining room just became a meat processing center. My kitchen nook just got reconfigured to add a 6' industrial shelving unit for other larger gear. My bar became a cast iron center. I don't mean to minimize the linen closet, but just to warn you - that's only the first step.

If you have access to a Restaurant depot, they have oval stainless trays in a few different sizes. I foil them and use them as drip trays. Works great.Phoenix
