New Outdoor Cooking Area

Just finished my extension to our patio. Added a fireplace and of course a kitchen... PowerBurner, Refrigerator, MiniMax, 30” flat top Griddle and of course my old friend My BGE 

PROUD MEMBER OF THE WHO DAT NATION!!!!! Stuck in Dallas.......

I always sort of chuckle to myself when I see the homes of some people who I know have spent much time and expense on rooms that would look great in a magazine but you just know never, ever get used for anything. Love the space and it's even cooler knowing that it will get plenty of use. Bravo!Stillwater, MN

j/k, kinda. First off, beautiful space! I had to chime in since we just went through this ourselves. I think dropping the burner is the outdoor equivalent of putting your living room TV over the fireplace. Sure it looks cool and every builder adds it to their house plans, but functionally it isn't the best spot to stick a TV. You lose counter space and essentially relegate an awesome burner to tall stock pots only.
We cook all kinds of stuff on ours (smash burgers, paella, searing proteins in skillets etc), so having it at standard counter-top level is much more convenient.

I think that’s leuters stone (what we have too). I’ve found that it resists staining fairly well (we had ours sealed).DFW - 1 LGBE & Happy to Adopt More...
