Pork butts done too early

I could use some advice. I have 27 pounds of pork sitting in a cooler. It got done a few hours earlier than I expected. I put it in a hot yeti at 5:30am. We aren’t eating till around 1. I’m thinking 7 hours is too long in the cooler. Should I cool it off now and reheat it later?
Thanks in advance.

It will be fine

You can also place them in the oven and have the oven on the warm feature (low) and that keeps the oven around 145°, give or take.------------------------------

I had the same thing happen Friday. I wrapped in foil and held them in the oven on 170 for about 7 hours then FTC for about 2 more hours for the transport. I was nervous about them but they were still in the 180s when I pulled them to eat.

Thanks for the help everyone. They are still in the cooler. I feel better now. I’ll post an update when I pull them out.

I like to damped a towel and mule it in the microwave. Couple steaming towels buys you hours.

I put a 10 pound in a cooler at 195 and after 9 hours, it was still at 152.

Sorry for the late response. It turned out great. I left it in the cooler for 7 hours and it was still at 180 when I pulled it. It was a big hit. Sorry no pictures. Thanks for all the help.

That speaks volumes about the performance of a Yeti. Glad it worked out.Michiana, South of the border.
