    I've seen it with cars,boats farm equipment, ATV's and golf carts. Apparently the success rate on these fishing expeditions is quite good.The grammar is pretty good and no cut and paste gmail address though, so maybe legit.

    CL is rife with rental scams.  They advertise short term rentals that are ridiculously cheap and claim to save you $ bypassing VRBO, etc.  They troll real estate sites for photos of actual properties and then advertise them, unbeknownst to the owner.  I’ve read some horror stories that are so bad, they’re funny.  I ran into one once and it smelled funny so I dig a bit and found out how huge the problem is.  In some cases, people showed up to move in and the place was occupied by the owner who knew nothing about any rental, etc.  They all want PayPal for friends, not business PayPal.  Lots of other obvious clues like too good to be true.  First sign of questions and they stop communicating.

    I think the original was probably legit. The guy had a pic of his truck licence plate in the background. He's clearly not savvy or he would have answered me or taken the ad down when it sold. 

    That email address is likely getting hammered with people saying they want it so if that ad is still legit, he's a dope.

    More likely someone stole the content and created an ad trying to get people to wire them money or something. i fully expect to hear back from someone.

    Tillerson.  Received it the day before he got fired.  Somehow my failure to quickly respond likely contributed to his down-fall.  =)

    I have made some good scores on CL. Agree that it takes way more effort today than it did years ago but sellers go through the same BS with fake buyers and people just fishing for contact info. Really is a shame.
