    Here is my list. 

    High end steak - Papas steakhouse. Either location. There is no comparison if you’re considering the whole pkg. service is the best in the city. 
    I’m really enjoying killens stq. it’s a combo of killens steak and bbq joints and located in town. 
    Seafood- I love Goode co.pro tip: snapper San Antonio and a campanchana extra Either location
    breakfast taco - villa arcos. VA has amazing tortillas
    tex mex- ninfas,el tiempo,Lupe tortilla, pappasitos. All four are good in there own way
    Bbq- roegels brisket is fantastic. Tejas is supposed to be the joint though. I’ve never been. 
    Italian- coltivare is delicious. Black pepper pasta I crave from there But plan to wait. Super small place  
    bcn taste and tradition. Spanish, gin and tonic menu, amazing, expensive 

    My pro tips if you must go:
    perrys only on Friday for the pork chop at 14.95 it’s awesome at that price.

    While in Houston last weekend I had the pleasure of tasting tamales made by Hugo Ortega. His mole negro was outstanding! @caliking may know better but I believe it is his Back Street Cafe that is where these are served up. Possibly at one of his other 4 restaurants.

    My favorite is Killen's BBQ in Pearland!!!!!  Best Beef Rib anywhere in my opinion.
