Hey all,
Wife and I often host very casual get together and drink my home-brew and whatever snacks people bring. I would like to get what I need to cook some pizza while all are there. I am looking for those 90 second or so pies where I can have a few made up right before gathering and get 2 or three pies done quickly. What is the best way to do this, BGE or other cooking device?
Thx

Most folks on here mention the rocboxx or the Uuni pro. @mlc2013 just bought another one I can’t remember. I’d start there. The egg makes decent pies but not in 90 seconds.zman51 said:Hey all,

If you want to cook pizza in 90 seconds on a regular basis then I'd definitely recommend a device that is specifically designed to do that. Roccbox, Ooni pro, or Ardore are all designed for that.zman51 said:Hey all,

Yup, you’ll need to buy a new device if you’d like to venture into neopolitan pizzas. Which isn’t a bad thingJohnInCarolina said:

I use the ardore by pizza party. All other brands are good as well. I don’t think you’ll be able to get anywhere near a 90 second pie without a special pizza ovenLong Island NY

Also there are different dough recipes for a true napoletano 90 sec pieLong Island NY

i have the propane ardore because i wanted to be able to take it tailgating and it works like a charm easy to move I also have the biscotto saputto stone not sure if that is necessary though I never used without. I have never used any other but was about to buy the uuni ooni pro when I saw the sale on the pizza party ardore so I pulled the trigger no regrets and again nothing to compare it toLong Island NY

You can cook pizzas on the BGE in the ~ 3 minute range with no problems, but you need a few things: a hot fire (650 - 700 min),; you need a solid 90 minute to let the pizza stone and BGE itself absorb heat; and you need thin crusts.LBGE & SBGE. Central Texas.

I crank my egg up to 750-800, preheat the stone for about 10 mins, slide a thin crust pizza onto the stone for about 3 ish minutes and it makes awesome pizza. I use a Rig Extender from Ceramic Grill Store to cook it higher in the dome as well, seems to work perfectly for me. Very close to a true Neopolitan style pizza if the crust is thin enough.

There is a world of difference between 3-minute pies and 90-second pies. Both can be awesome pizza. But they for sure are different."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I clicked agree, but it's probably worth saying. "Agreed"JohnInCarolina said:There is a world of difference between 3-minute pies and 90-second pies. Both can be awesome pizza. But they for sure are different.DFW - 1 LGBE & Happy to Adopt More...
