BGE Chiminea Stand

just picked up a NIB BGE Chiminea but it was missing the original base. I know a lot of people use LBGE nest and I probably will also. But I would like to have a base also so if anyone might have one I am interested or if someone could give me the exact specs I will build one.

Sweet. Pretty sure the one I have is on a medium stand, which does well, with a spacer. Would love to find an original stand myself, just for originality. As others said, nice score.Slumming it in Aiken, SC.

I didn't realize that was your first post.

Any luck on finding a base? I wouldn’t mind having one of shorter low profile ones as well. Hoping this was an easy find. LolAtlanta, GA

No luck finding a base yet. Is there anyone who has one that could give me the specs so I could make one.

There is really not much to the stand.Safecracker1960 said:No luck finding a base yet. Is there anyone who has one that could give me the specs so I could make one.
You should be able to spec it from a photo and your chiminea.
Just give the ring some wiggle room for ceramic expansion.
Would also help to include your location. Might be a local who does not answer because he does not want to mess with shipping.
But it should be an easy build.

Anyone else have or seen someone with a tall version of the stand? When I got mine the original owners said that’s how they got it from the mothership.

Could have been a one of a kind or very limited run. But I would not want to have a raise one.Kevinboatright said:Anyone else have or seen someone with a tall version of the stand? When I got mine the original owners said that’s how they got it from the mothership.
But anyone looking might want to check pot stands.

I agree. I have my Chiminea in a medium nest. I worry about the dogs knocking it over and destroying it.Photo Egg said:

Check with your local retailer and have them check with their distributor. There used to be some new old stock for those things. They were not a big seller until you couldn’t buy them.

I have one somewhere that I used to use for my mini. Let me see if I can find it.

seeing this post made me think of a post about a foaming Chiminea post from 2010, never did see the back story on what happened
