Best beef I ever had was this Instant Pot recipe for pot roast. No reason you couldn't do it in a DO. It'll just take longer.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Temp and times?
looks great, taters and maybe some mushroom gravy would top it off. -
I used a 4.5# chuck. Ran it About 250-280° for a little over 4.5 hours. Came out killer. Wife made her homemade mashed pots on the stove. I took Ree’s tip and added butter and red wine.PoppasGrill said:Temp and times?

The carrots and onions were superb too.

And a little Makers for the finish

I'm going to do that for dinner tonight. I was sick all last night and this morning so i'm not going to fool with the Egg for this. I don't have any Rosemary or Thyme so I may not be able to use those ingredients but I have everything else.
My wife works Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while I'm retired. So, I like to handle the cooking duties when she is working. This looks like it meets my requirements for a recipe; easy and delicious.
I just hope mine turns out half as good as yours looks.

Hellyeah. I was super impressed with it. I think using the wine broke down that fat that beef contains that normally kinda leaves a film or aftertaste in your mouth. It made it more like pork in that respect.SaintJohnsEgger said:I'm going to do that for dinner tonight. I was sick all last night and this morning so i'm not going to fool with the Egg for this.
